Support Ranked Provisionals

So, I've been playing Leauge of Legends for about 3 years now and got into ranked in season 6. I ended up both seasons getting shoved at the bottom of the ranked system with B1 in Flex, and B4 in solo/duo. I main support and so when my team does poorly, I get penalized even if I don't die or even have a perfect game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it supposed to be based on individual performance during those provisionals? If so, then it seems to me that Support mains get the short end of the straw when it comes to those qualifications. I often finish games with at least an A or above and yet getting stuck where I don't feel is right.

Sorry for the rant, but I just feel like Support mains are really getting screwed over with ranked placements... If a Rioter out there reads this, what can you tell me about what may be planned to help Support mains survive in the ranked environment?
