I think we could all use some alone time. Offline status?

You know these days when you just want to be left alone but you just can't because everyone on your friends list knows you're online and playing? Well I think there should be little upgrade in our chat systems. An Offline status would be amazing, as the * Busy status just doesn't work while your in game*. But if I could change the chat system, I would like to make it so that if you're offline you can't talk to none of your friends and they can't talk to you so that if you want to get out of your bubble, you'll have to be online and on chat. Just so that no one forgets that they are offline, as I always do on any other programs (': What do y'all think? What would you do if you could change the chat system?

Great idea. Definitely has a place for both regular players as well as high-profile players. I don't really see any way this could be abused or advantageous at all for any individual. It might make for some real-life awkward situations, though:

P5: "Finally made Platinum! Took me all this week just to get past my promos."

B4: "Oh. I didn't see you online. I thought we were going to duo."

P5: " . . . "

And to help keep something like this properly "sealed", there could even be an option in the sign-in area where you can decide to have it be set to offline the instant you get in. Perhaps a little box alongside the "Disable Login Music" and "Disable Menu Animations". To keep people from forgetting about it like they could the other two, perhaps something could be implemented like the caps lock warning or even having a (this time) note after it, stating that it will be off by default every time you go to log in unless you check it each time.

Probably a bit more complicated than the original idea, but surely something that would be a useful addition.

Pikmints, that's a very good Idea actually. It would be useful indeed (: but on the same time, I would find it quiet annoying to always log off every time to just be online chat again. But I see the logic in this lol (: we could add this to make it easier and have a button to go online again. But I would defenetly want that, I do get sometimes people messaging me the instant I log in lol.

I think this is a good idea. I hate having people feel like I'm ignoring them because i leave my client up with the busy status. It makes me feel like I'm giving them the cold shoulder when I'm not. It would be nice for them to not be able to contact me or have like an "inbox" so when you get back on you can see those messages. Even go so far as to keep yourself online, but have it like you describe where you don't receive the messages until you come back online. Would be a great option to have.

Then play for fun or don't que up with them. lol Maybe try to teach them what you know. Whenever I play with friends I do fun/ trolly things. My brother has a friend that consistently goes like 5/10+/X. He feeds like crazy so we do stupid duo bots for fun. Things like MonkeyKing / Yasuo or Teemo / Shaco . We have more fun with it. We even went Viktor / Shaco once and Riven / Singed . It breaks up the feeling of having to excel and really throws people off in normals. SO even if you feed its for fun and no pressure. Really it also helps you find interesting combos and can bring up good team comps.

Ruin? I've never ruined my teams chances. Honestly in all of those games we have only lost 1 and that was the first Viktor/Shaco bot lane where we won lane amazingly and one of my brothers friends, who is absolutely terrible, fed the enemy team and made the game essentially a 4v5. That game we almost won at the same time off the back of me and my brother and we were both playing stupidly doing things like 1v2 or he would go to their base as shaco and dance to draw their attention while we took objectives and stalled for time.

None of the games where ruined by use playing like this and no one protested about it except for 1 guy when our Riven/Singed bot lane didn't go as planned with the enemy doing a 2 man top lane. We still won either way. You need to define the term ruin before you say that. All these games we destroyed bot lane and carried out team to victory or a close loss. Never once were we just running to lane and dying or letting the enemy team do what they want. We played like any other player and we won like any other player.

Yes, it exists for a reason and should always be an option. Just don't show up on friends list for that session until you set it to be otherwise.

Honestly I'd love to see a chat in the loading screen. If possible, this addition would provide:

A more rewarding skin/summoner icon experience with the presence of real time feedback
Time to discuss various game-plans and early strategies before actually spawning in-game

While the chat in champion select is useful for the latter of the two, I find that it is much easier to devise a plan while all of the variables are laid out in stone. For instance, in blind pick you have no idea what you're up against until you load into the game. Extra time to communicate ideas wouldn't hurt. This applies to all game modes.

I appreciate you giving this a consideration. Hopefully you all feel the same way.

I was actually just thinking about this yesterday. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been thinking this. Sometimes I just want to queue up with random strangers and not feel obligated to chat or play certain game modes with friends.

Totally support this! I was thinking of posting something along these lines however I'm happy someone already beat me to it to save me the hassel! Would say riot please, but that doesn't carry any weight anymore. Their just a company holding the game that I love hostage....sadly. Anyways great idea!

I think it's necessary for us to get an offline status.

I unadd all my friends. Solves the issue of being asked for a game or a duo by complete strangers that don't care about you as a person and only you skill level to help them gain some pointless that means nothing unless they actually earn it themselves and learn from their mistakes.
