Ping over 10k

I have played 8 games today. The last 2 I had over 10k ping. Before I had noticed a few people, some on my team some not, complaining about really bad lag spikes. In the first game where the highest my ping got was 18k, there was a person on the other team who was having the same problems. I have played league for over a year and this has never happened to me.

Ya, I'm pretty sure something is up today with the servers, because I had my first ever DC earlier today so I'm pretty certain that the servers are just lagging out.
