Riot please consider, I want to see civility come back to Leauge

About 30 minutes ago I played with the most toxic person I have ever seen. I was 1-3 and farming under turret, i died again after a 3 man tower dive, and one of my teammates said "You are so bad please kill yourself." Which didn't bother me because i built up a pretty healthy tolerance of rude behavior. Then later he commented "Please god you are so bad I pray your mother dies" "Like literally after this game I'm going to pray your mother dies." My mother has been in poor health for a while, and a total stranger wishing she would die over a video game was one of the most striking experiences I have had in my life. First I don't understand how people can be even mildy rude to strangers on leauge. But this personal attack didn't make me think he was upset that I wasn't doing well, it make me letigmatly believe that this random guy legit hated me, and over a video game. I took all I had not to curse him out, or leave (because I know the new leaver buster will ensure my next 5 games have a 5 minute wait, good justice here). So i continued to play but I couldn't try. I could not accept supporting the behavior of such an individual. So i just began to CS, and not participate. This was the only outcome I could reach. I keep finding myself in these lose-lose situations, where I either win the game, and help a verbal abuser, or lose and let down the 3 other guys who happened to be in the lobby with me. And the report system is so sad. People will report others over the drop of a hat, so when something real (like this) happens I rarely see anything come of it. I feel like riot really needs to care about every report, and players need to make every report legitimate. Riot doesn't have the time to read every 10-year old whining that a player "fed his a** off," they do need to read when someone is emotionally hurting others. Therefore; I believe there should be a "bad report system." If you report someone who didn't deserve it, or only did something that wasn't meant to hurt someone (Kill steals, supports not warding to another player's likeing, ect.) that person should not be allowed to report, or their reports should be given a lower review priority. I don't report unless someone was really laying into someone. I'm not talking about "wow this sona" or someone saying "if this ****y riven dies one more time im afk", i mean "please kill yourself, everyone wants you to, society will be better without you." The people who really deserve it, and I still see many of the accounts active with no interrupted log-ins (no bans). I really want to see this weird, hate culture leave Leauge, and not be afraid of getting death threats every time i don't have a stellar game.

The suggestion you made already exists. This has been confirmed by Riot on multiple occasions. A players report rating goes down with "false reports" - eventually, the bad reports mean nothing.

You can earn a good report status back over time if you consistently report correctly.

This community is so toxic, and I don't know if it's a rise in kid(teen) players or what, but I started playing Heroes of the Storm as they do not have such a toxic community.

I've noticed playing during the weekdays earlier in the day helps. Most of the toxicity rolls in from 3pm onward. :P I blame highschoolers xD

I don't understand why people like that are allowed to play, or at least are allowed to use chat. I played a match earlier and I was 1/3, trying to farm. The enemy team had a Kat and was roaming to kill everyone. I told everyone that as long as we stay farmed up and cc Kat, we should win. Apparently this set Leona off and told me that "you are a moron, you deserve to kill yourself." Then she sat in fountain dancing. I just don't understand why serious verbal abusers are allowed to do this.

Also, another game, I was 2/3 as an adc and my team would fight before I could get there. I was cussed out by my support for not being able two 2v1 and the vlad that lost his lane, kept calling me a "c*nt" the whole time and then proceeded to tell me that I should "kill myself." I told the enemy team about my troubles, because usually when the enemy team has someone that is super toxic, they tell us and I do feel sympathy because I experience toxity every now and then. When I told them they wrote in chat, "LOL" and "You deserve it."

I don't care for comments saying, "you're trash" or anything like that. BUT I feel as though lines saying to go "kill yourself" or what OP has gone through should result in chat restrictions. (And yes, I know that I can mute, which I do if they're being extreme).

Age doesn't matter too much... I'm 13 and not toxic. Best thing I can suggest is muting abusive players.

I will be the first to admit I get ticked off easy, start calling people out on a stupid move, but for the life of me I could not understand someone making it THAT personal, people like that give anger a bad name, for the simple fact that its not anger, its a child whining and trying to cover it up with the worst insults that they can think of. This subject hits a bit close to home (one grandfather talking shit about my grandmother who passed away). I think I speak for everyone in the community (other than that worthless shit of course) that we hope your mother gets better and that shit stain gets whats coming to him in hell.
