"Toxic" Behavior

I apologize ahead of time. Often when I type a long spill, I start to ramble. But, I sent this to Riot a few weeks back.

There's this thing called the Tribunal which I've never seen in effect. I love the idea of how it worked, and I wish you guys would bring it back. I don't know what all you're doing obviously, and you may be very busy.

Let me tell you something though, an update every now and then on it's progress would go a long way. I don't know how often you check your boards, but all I ever seem to read is how awful of an experience people are having. I'm absolutely terrified to play ranked not because I'm not skilled enough, but because I don't want to suffer though the games with these people.

If you're not going to bring the Tribunal back anytime soon, then I have a proposition for you. I don't know if you'll like it or not, but it would be a start.

Get some interns/volunteers who want to work for you, and make them a team whose job is to review reports and ban players. Do away with this automated system. It isn't working. If you don't believe me, get a smurf and play them in the bronze pool for a few weeks.

Set up a miniature version of the tribunal for them to use in a separate client or something so they can do this from home. Have applications ready so you're not getting children reviewing reports, have people who manage things like this on a daily basis as your main reviewers. Like store managers at retail stores, or even business owners.

I'll gladly be your first volunteer. I have a decent amount of spare time, access to a computer, and a keen sense of judgement. Develop a test for me. I'll take it. Fill the test with all sorts of situations of "What would you do with this player?"

I love your game Riot, you've done well. Don't let it fall apart because the toxic pool is growing. What have you got to lose? I'll work for free. You won't have to devote any of your own time. It will enrich the experience of future players allowing the game to grow even more.

I am sorry if the Tribunal system is still not up and running. Tribunal is actually in recess as of the moment. I cannot share with your information on when the Tribunal system will be back. However, you can still continue reporting toxic players through the in-game reporting system. Although you aren't able to judge cases, we still continue to look on your reports and sanction players if necessary.

However, I love the proposition you've shared to me. Having a team that checks on reports and ban players is actually good. I would like you to post your idea in our boards. We check the boards every day for feedback from the community, and while we cannot respond to everyone's thoughts we're committed to taking our player's feedback into consideration with every decision we make.
