Ranking System on League of Legends

This game's ranked experience wouldn't be so fucking bad if you didn't have a team dragging you down. Normally in ranking systems...you're ranked separately on your own performances, not because top fed eight kills, and now she's going BoxBox on your ass when you haven't even finished laning phase. Seriously, why did they even think ranking everyone's performance as a team was a even good idea? Like...really? With the amount of toxic players, and no in-game voice chat?

I'm pretty sure a number of summoners can agree with me, this ranking system is bull. Also, I don't want to lose my promos because it's a 4 to 1 surrender vote since team can't take down a fed champion, or they've lost their morale to even play a game anymore.

Because it is a team game and they think you should win or lose as a team.

It takes a lot of effort to not even consider the implications of your personal score determining your rank rather than the whole team's win. There are very good reasons why it's the way it is, but I'm not going to waste my time explaining it to someone who doesn't care.

Alright, here it is then;

Imagine each person's scores determine if they rank up or not. You all enter a teamfight, you know what happens? Greedy people will bail if it looks remotely bad to keep a good KDA, leaving everyone else to die for sure. There will be those who sit in lane and farm CS and avoid fighting altogether. People will make an effort to KS everything from each other, or just do one thing and run to safety so they get an assist. The game would turn to complete shit because everyone is looking out for #1 instead of trying to work as a team and win the game.

I commend you for keeping this civilized, and I see no holes in your explanation, however I've seen many cases, (In spectates, On the enemy team, and my own) that even if your team surrenders and you decline the /ff, your team loses and it still counts as a lost in your promotional series. If you get what I'm saying. Though, there could be problems in preventing a promo-loss if there's a four to one surrender vote, I still think they should do something about that. It doesn't entirely anger me, I just don't want good effort to go down the drain, especially when comebacks are ALWAYS possible to occur.

There are probably ways to make Promo series more dependent on the individual, but I think that's a separate issue. That aside, if a forfeit saves you, it would put pressure on your teammates to forfeit a game to save your series when they might have actually won. They could withhold the vote to troll you even. A lot of factors affect this issue when you start discussing it.

You have to also consider that jax was unable to play safely and therefore, probably should've realized it from the first major trade that he lost - and therefore asked for jungler attention.

Riven can also be fairly easily shut down with dash champs like Kalista and Katarina (if you can keep track of her Q timer)
