The Tribunal

When are we ever going to get the Summoner's Tribunal back, when players could help Riot with dealing with the toxic behaviors in game? As someone who sits in the low elo tier, (Silver) for quite a long time, I can honestly say most of my losses have been because of small fights in my team that end of in afk rages or just people who dont care anymore. Bringing back the Tribunal could probably do this game a lot more good than without it, especially if you reward people for doing the right thing and dishing out the punishment on people who ruin the game for others.

To expound a little better on GreenKnight's comment, the Tribunal was horribly slow, and when incentivized, wound up being inaccurate, as players would just move to punish so they could get rewards.

Even back when the Tribunal could theoretically keep up with reports, there weren't enough players participating to actually get through them, which resulted in a pretty horrendous backlog, and some players wound up getting punished months later than they should have. Now imagine that degree of inactivity/backlog now that the community numbers in the millions.

The IFS can do the Tribunal's job ten times better, and only needs reports as player input. It's faster and more efficient by far, so, it's reasonable to assume that the Tribunal, as a holistically outdated system, is iceboxed indefinitely.

That system barely worked. It's probably never coming back.

I use to smash the ban button on tribunal and get free points everyone did. Sucks for the players involved but even I lost accounts to that failure of a system. It was riots way of not paying actual people to monitor behavior.

I would have to say both the Tribunal and the current system needs to be in place. The Tribunal encouraged people to actually get rid of toxicity in the game. As someone who remains in low elo, I count how many times people don't report things like, ADC irelia going 0/10 or a top teemo rqing and going on a feeding spree. They just leave the game right as the endscreen comes up and nothing gets accomplished. The person that should be banned or punished to some extent gets off scott free to ruin yet another game until a full group reports them.
