Gaining XP alone?

The low population LAN server makes soloQing a nightmare (at least at lower summoner levels). You either have to wait half an hour or more between games or play a custom match worth 0 xp. Is there another method that would allow me to gain xp, even if more slowly, without having to wait for so long?

play blind pick normals, usually only 3-5 minute queue times at most even at low levels at night. Yes, you might end up with a crappy lane situation, but you'll get in far more games than if you tried doing team builder.
