Please can we not be so rude...

It seems that most of what I see on the forums is "WHERE THE HELL IS A SKIN FOR X, YOU GUYS SUCK RIOT" and "WOW A SKIN FOR X AND NOT Y RIOT YOU JUST LOST SOME PLAYERS". Why is it that people are so rude and uptight when speaking about Riot as a company just cause they didn't release content that you and maybe some others have been waiting for. I think that the summoners as a community need to take a step back and really analyze how much content Riot steadily has been putting out over the past couple years. Also, I can't comprehend how people are unsatisfied with Riots "lack of content" when we are in the middle of the biggest event since the Freljord event that accompanied the release of Lissandra, and after all, it is a free game. Be appreciative of the fact that Riot as a company has employees that are so hardworking and passionate about what they do, when you aren't really even required to pay anything for their service. This is somewhat of a call to action for summoners to be a bit more patient, kind, and open-minded when you go to critique people like rioters who know what they are doing. And Riot, all in all what I'm trying to you guys is say is, I for one (and I'm sure there are others behind me on this) am EXTREMELY satisfied with the content being released and the amount of work you guys have been putting in and I greatly thank you for being such an awesome and involved company. Thanks for reading, and I hoped I could brighten your day and help you achieve a more positive outlook on the game.

P.S.- I definitely didn't mind waiting for the Kha'zix skin cause I knew you guys were gonna come up with something great, and you, as usual, failed to disappoint!

It's a combination of high expectations and a culture of immediate gratification.

Riot is held (and from what I can tell hold themselves to) a high standard, and aren't afraid to be told as well as admit when they don't met those standards. Unfortunately, as well intentioned as this is, it also created an atmosphere for players that Riot can be called out on anything, slowly erodes the confidence of impressionable people (we all are to an extent, really) in the devs. In other words, Riot takes the challenge of constant criticism with a brave face and steadfast demeanor, but the constant critiques from our (the players') end makes it seem as if no one is satisfied with their current work and invited less constructive, less thoughtful criticisms that devolve into flat out worthless bile at times. Which then feeds a horrible cycle of discontent breeding discontent, while contentment remains unrepresented (except in rare occasions like this post!)

By no means am I saying there isn't good criticism out there. With the recent lore changes as a prime example, there are legitimate arguments against decisions Riot has made and sometimes even better-on-all-sides ideas generated by the community. I'm always able to be impressed at least once a day on the forums from someone who truly thought about and explained his thoughts. But unfortunately more often than not I see people impulsively taking to their keyboards thinking they have a better idea than the professionals behind the game. Am I saying that idea can't be better? No, but what I am saying is that without proper thought and explanation it's probably going to be dumped with the rest.

Sorry the rambling, thank you for this post, it's nice to see people disconnecting their personal desires (X skin for X champ) and looking at the big picture. Always refreshing.

We can't do anything as a community of summoners.

We have been deleted from the game.
