Questions regarding LeBlanc

I have a few questions regarding LeBlanc that I just can't seem to make sense of, I have tried searching the interwebz but so far I have yet to stumble across a post that gives me a definitive answer so here they are, thanks in advance.

  1. Why is there a general consensus among the community that LeBlanc is overpowered when she is barely able to get past a 50% win rate?
  2. Why are people who main LeBlanc looked down or frowned upon in the community?
  3. Is it a good idea to main this champion?

Once again, I thank you for taking your time to read and answer my question.

Agreed and following up on what Athron said. She's viewed as she was in her past.. Being able to silence you into death. Fun for the player may have not been for the person on the receiving end of it. Irregardless, the community of players is basically toxic towards every champion, everyone thinks everyone else's champion is OP and needs to be nerfed(mainly unranked or low elo players who have yet to understand how to play against x champion and would rather rage /complain than learn how to deal with them). Just get used to it.. You should play a champion because you enjoy playing the champion and don't let what people think about X champion stop you from learning a champion either. There are over 100 champions and 100's of thousands of players, find the one that fits your playstyle and have a blast . Leblanc is worth mastering, high skill cap, rewarding to understand & Fun to play. And if you need help learning the champion Google some informative Leblanc guides, watch some montages, watch a stream. Should all help immensely, since you can ask the direct mains questions who will probably be more than willing to answer any questions if you have them.

I personally think she's extremely annoying to lane against and teamfight against. She may be bad at the point where people know how to deal with her, but she's one of those pubstomper assassin champions like Akali, Yi, etc. where you're toast if you can't handle her mechanics, like her dashing and her combos, which I can't.

I imagine people look down on LeBlanc mains because she seems easy to play as, I wouldn't know.

Go ahead and main her if you want, but you'll never see her in any game where I'm mid and I can ban.

playing lots of Leblanc, i get told im skilless yet i agree she is easy to play in the laning phase it's how u play her late game which takes the "skills" i think people dont like her since if she gets really fed she can w to get into position for a q + R which can kill or chunk a lot now with thunderlords.

However many champions kill others fast if they r fed to, lee sin q r q is basically a one shot if he's got dmg. I wouldnt recommend maining her, i regret playing her lots now seeing as the meta feels very punishing to me as i only play ap champions, but i cannot deny she is a fun champion to play and worth picking up or knowing how she works.

I think Lb is still getting viewed on what she has been able to do in the past. This meta it's a lot harder to reach that point on lb and seeing as mr items got buffed and ap items got nerfed i dont think she's too good of a pick now.

I can also agree with the most things the others said, she is jugded but her really annyoing past. She is my absolute main and I love this champ. But I would not say that she is easy to play. Learning her basics does not take much time, but knowing how to play all the possible matchups, how to use your blink/chain-combo effectively (and yes, there are some ways) and especially teamfighting needs a lot of experience and something like a harmony with her kit.

To answer your first question: She is not overpowered, but she will never become weak until they change anything on her. I win almost every laning phase, about 55% of the games since they rebuffed her w missile speed (I already had like 70 games at this point with her) and a 50% winrate in this year. But I rarely lose my laning phase also with other champs (expcept I try a new one, totally fed with Diana in one game xD), so it is not because she is just too strong. Her lategame is compared to others weak, but if you have 4 items, you will still oneshot every adc and mage (expcept he built roa and other items with tanky stats).

If you like a high mobility champion, have fast reactions and can accept that you can fall behind very hard if you lose your laning phase, then I would recommend her. She will be rarely banned (because it is just WASTED @cheeseburger1837), but can easily be counterpicked which is pretty hard when you do not have 200+ games experience. You will get problems with almost every champ with cc or range if the player is better than you. Good luck!
