Why?

Before Sol's teaser came out nobody gave two jacks about the lore now Sol's coming out and everyone's saying how his power levels are too high even though it has no effect on the game whatsoever. So my question to you people who aren't satisfied with Sol's power levels.

Why?

Your own cognitive dissonance does not constitute "nobody giving two jacks about the lore". Especially since the removal of the eponymous "League of Legends", lore fans have been as outspoken as rarely before about the lore development.

So your entire question is based on an utterly false presumption.

It's the same thing with Pokemon, lorewise Arceus is the god of the Pokemon Universe but in the games he can be defeated even by a leveled caterpy. Gameplay is gameplay it has nothing to do with the acctual power levels of the characters

Dude don't mind them their completely unreasonable. They beg for years for a powerful new dragon champion, and even thought the lore has nothing to do with game play, they get mad. I mean Riot just gave us everything we ever wanted and asked for. They made a fucking space dragon for fuck sake. But people will always be butt hurt over nothing. I mean they made a space dragon. No where in any game has there ever been this epic of a character and they complain. Yes he is powerful. Good.

Well, keep in mind, this is just a teaser. There isn't actually anything stopping them from severely crippling him to bring him down to a slightly less... cosmic... playground as part of his introduction.

It would also give him reason to be an asshat to everyone. Grumpy, yo.

While true it is possible that Sol's power level giggle may be way out there, Sol him self is not a big threat honestly. He's not evil, more douche and full of him self(literally), hes just has a sick way of passing his time. i personally have no problem with god tier characters, or champions, they help make those stories in which the hero is presented with all the odds.

If Sol was, and I kid you not, a destructive being without a care for others then I would be like, "Wtf Riot". The thing is hes not that he prefers to enjoy things, he wants those to plead with him, for them to just run around like chickens with their heads chop off. If what I think is true that he is coming to destroy the world its obvious how its going to play out, Sol is going to tell them he's here to destroy us but then some one is going to be like, "What if we make a deal?" and Sol would agree with the wager being he chooses what they have to do and that if they fail the planet gets smashed, if they pass they don't get crushed.

Like I said hes not going to mess things up he want's something to make him laugh or entertain him.

Wait, when did Riot, and modern leaugers especially, start caring about lore again?

People always cared about that to some extent. When Bard and Kindred were released there was some discussion about their power levels and that will probably always be the case with champions of great power. The thing is that Aurelion demonstrated a power that pretty much seems to go even beyond what the other powerhouses are capable of.

Also we currently don't have a lot of information about aurelion,so discussing his power level is one of the very few things that we can do...
