I'm mid-ish gold right now and I was wondering if that's the point where using a wireless mouse just wont cut it. Should I try to go higher or just buy a new mouse now? I noticed that my clicking is less accurate then my friends who are also in gold, that's why I'm wondering.

Yeah um pick yourself up a razr death adder. Get a decent pad for it. It is amazing. No comparison between that and any wireless mouse.
Honestly, I don't know why people have wireless mice at all. They lag, they die, they're useless if you lose the receiver, and to top it off they're more expensive than wired mice.
Wireless mouses are not as responsive, unless you buy an actual wireless gaming mouse otherwise I would say replace it asap.
