A thought on the Lore Tech Issue

The new Thought Lightbulb I just installed powered on to max a little bit ago, and I think I know what technical issue is holding the lore team back.

Well, not an issue, but a feature that seems a little outlandish to implement via the current client tech.

Riot wants a seamless way to allow the player to access the longer lore from within the client without opening a webpage via hyperlink or something similar, and that allows them to keep the short lore page uncluttered.

This hypothesis would explain (I must laugh at the fact that I constructed this sentence like I'm still in high school) the length of time the issue has gone on. They may also be revamping those champion pages while they're at it, a massive undertaking from the outside eyes of one who has to imagine literally every facet of a scenario from a discipline I am not formally educated in.

This theory would also explain the silence from the team itself. /end8thgraderhetoric All anybody would ever say to this issue is "Implement it later, we just want the Lore." As such, they're working in relative silence and taking their time to make sure they deliver the highest quality content that they can muster (which tends to be a fairly high quality standard).

I read somewhere that Riot wants to have a short bio in client for new players to get the gist of the champion, and have a longer lore on site for exploration. It doesn't exactly explain the delay, but maybe they're just stuck on how to change the lore without angering everyone.
