Viktor's Image
I would like to point out that any mention of Viktor (or, as he is known to all other players, Victor >.>) refers to him as this mad scientist hell-bent on destroying everything in sight because. That's about it in terms of how deep his character seems to be to anybody who hasn't read his Bio.
In short, Viktor is a Victim, one that went from something similar to Jayce's "Let's make tomorrow a better place" to "Let's make tomorrow a convoluted version of a better place populated by machines" after his hard-earned science victory of creating autonomous golems was usurped by the Professor.
Except he isn't even an aggressor. It's never once mentioned that he forcefully imposes his ideas on anyone, in Jayce's lore, in fact, his followers are acknowledged as acolytes instead of victims or slaves. Heavily implied in his lore, he also debates with and allows the Zaunite government to examine his own body in order to affirm its validity as a scientific achievement. That doesn't sound much like a mad scientist at all, outside of the fact that he decided that the only way to deal with his depression was to remove it completely (and even then, that doesn't sound like something terrible considering that he hails from Zaun and is human).
The Battlecast line, with him at the helm, is most likely responsible for the perception of Viktor as an insane mind ready to destroy the world. Viktor is "merely" looking to improve the world, mechanical ascendance style.
I am alive.
Professor Stanwick Piddlily never told you what happened to your father.
What? No, I'm never going to work with a weirdo like you!
What are you talking about? He's a renowned scientist who has helped Piltover with some of his creations. Besides, it's not like we can just attack Zaun without-
