IF SO: I want to gift my husband an ashe skin with the border (if it has it) BUT. he is in the military on deployment, Whenever he gets home months from now and opens the skin, will it have the border?

This is a bit confusing so I'll try my best. __ Vocab:__ Cashe - A Hextech chest that doesn't need a key to open Augment Cashe - A cashe that will give a gurrenteed skin shard, a champion/skin shard and project cores. Blueprint - A shard that required Project: Cores to fuse. Project: Cores - Essence.
Alright, to unlock the First Strike border, you need to craft it's summoner icon. You can acquire the blueprint for the icon by purchasing the EM Caster Icon from the in-game store. Once you open the cashe in the Hextech Crafter, you will be given a permanent summoner icon, Project: Cores, a blueprint for the First Strike icon and an augment cashe fragment. To aquire 7 Project: Cores, you must either purchase Augment Cashes with RP or buy the other Decrypter and Hyper Edge cashes, then craft an Augment Cashe.
Once you craft the First Strike icon and you own it, you now have the border!

thanks so much for your help, I was able to figure out how to get the border for Ashe myself, but i have another question if youd be able to answer.
Are the borders limited time?
I gifted my husband Project ekko (hed like it better than ashe) and im just wondering if; whenever he comes home 2 months from now, would he be able to get the chests and blueprints and core elements to unlock the border.
