A lot o threads nowadays are saying "upvote if you agree". People are going to upvote anyways if they agree with you, and downvote if not. It just annoys me every time someone asks for upvotes. The whole point of posting is to contribute your ideas, not farm upvotes.
Upvote if you agree.

Actually, I have enough experience to say that this isn't true. Most people don't bother. You can see it in a popular thread that has a poll in it; An "I agree with this thread" poll answer with have far more votes than the thread itself does.
People really should upvote more, though.
