elo reset formula?
does anyone know what the elo reset formula looks like ?
does anyone know what the elo reset formula looks like ?
Elo = (E * 5)/j
E = mc^2 * (x = -b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4(a)(c))/2a) * 1/2(L)(W) + sin(a)cot(b) j = -5(a^2 + b^2) - a^2 + b^2 * 2(a)(b)cos(a)
Triangle A = 5; B = 9; C = 6. Find angles a, b, c, then find x using Cos of a, and you have your formula.
Well I'm pretty sure they won't tell us. They used to be more upfront with this stuff like visible ELO(MMR) and explaining MM changes. Now they just do what they want and let us guess.
But when they did tell us stuff, it used to be:
(Current ELO + 1200)/2
Aka Gold 1500 will start around Silver 1350 after reset, 2100 will start at ~1750.
EDIT: I'm guessing that things have changed though and its more than likely not that simple anymore. If anything I would guess that it might be divided by a slightly smaller number or add slighlty more than 1200 so the reset doesn't normalize everyone as much. Just a guess tho.
I'm pretty sure it's roughly halfway reset between your current MMR and 1250. So a 1750 mmr player will be placed at 1500 before provisionals
