We should allow people to gift people with IP for those with huge amounts of IP.

We need an IP sink or to let us gift people champions with our IP. Rito please i have over 121K IP

Since you brought up IP sinks after you have everything, it made me think of one;

Allow smurf accounts to be linked to your main
IP can be transferred from the main to any smurf account (not the other way around)

Riot neither supports nor condemns smurfing and want a better alternative to it. Giving incentive to link the accounts would help and give possible benefits like this. It's obviously not giving IP to other people, but it does give it a use.

heck you would be gifting your smurfs all the champions @ this rate. If you have over 120k IP it's time to take a long ass break kids.

There is a huge reason they haven't done this; there is probably enough built-up IP for players who have everything to the point where they can just gift all of it to their friends. And then their friends would have everything.

That DOUBLES the amount of useless IP that comes in, and makes it almost useless to grind and play the game for it, you don't need it.

Then give us any type of IP sink? The only reason some people mass a huge amount of IP is due to buying champions or have been playing the game for a long time. I finished getting every rune/champion over a year or so ago. i now have 125,096 IP (As of this very moment) and i've changed my name plenty of times. even if i was aloud, i could buy someone a maximum of 18 6,900 IP champions or just buy champions for my smurf/friends that they really want. Or maybe buy a handful of runes. Id run out of IP very quickly. I've already named changed like 5-6 times why not give us this ability to?

Because it's bad for Riot's income. If you can just gift your friends everything, they don't need to spend money except for skins. Plus, why do you want to do it anyway?

I don't think I've ever heard someone complain about having too much money.

But to get that much IP you must play a ton. which means im more likely to buy a skin or spend money on this game. I also can not buy my friends runes so how does that hurt the income of riot? you cant buy friends runes for RP last i checked.

Most people who have all the champions either play a LOT, or bought a few in the process. If you can gift that extra ip, you immediately took away any chance of Riot making 20-50+ dollars from your friend buying champions.

It's just not workable if you don't want Riot to lose money.

lol what does that have to do with anything? Just because some people want SOMETHIGN as an IP sink doesn't mean we have to have it and just because you think ti may "hurt business" doesn't mean it will? all i'm saying is they "should" make it so i can buy my friends things i i so choose. that is all. it is not a demand but a request that may or may not be herd just like every other "IP sink" request. i have no idea why your trying to compare apples to oranges with your analogy. They are two very different things.

Sorry, but taking away one form of a company's income can do nothing but hurt business. How can you not see that?

If they are going to put in an IP sink, it can't in any way be a way to boost another account. If you could transer IP across accounts, you'll see 5,000 Chinese IP bots coming in day 1 alone, clogging the game up with shitty bots that only farm IP so they can sell it to players. Even if they didn't, it gives whoever you give your IP too less incentives to buy RP. That DIRECTLY affects Riot's income.

And the analogy fits because you're saying that it wouldn't be "THAT" bad. My point was that it's still bad, quantity doesn't matter.

I think they should make refund tokens buy-able with IP, so you can at least pleasure yourself with the buy and re-buy limbo cycle if you have too much to share, or you can just change your name again and again and again and again...
