Is Master Yi really broken?

MasterYi Master Yi is now considered to be "Broken" by certain summoners since his last rework. If you think he is "Broken" feel free to comment why you think he is and then we can talk about how it can be fixed or why it shouldn't be.

I hate Yi, but I get flamed quite frequently if I ban him. I've lost far too many games because people underestimate him, though. They say he's bad, and then he dominates. People say the same thing about Tryndamere. He's bad, until someone knows how to play him well, then he just wins.

I'm not sure who is selling this idea that Yi is weak and a bad champion, but it's just plain wrong. A well-played Yi is devastating for two key reasons:

  1. He snowballs harder than just about any other champ I can name. One kill in the lane phase and he's almost unbeatable.
  2. Even if you shut him down the whole game, he will come back and dominate team fights. All it takes is for one person in the team fight to die, and he's going to wreck everyone else. His near-constant Alpha Strikes, if used properly, can keep him away from the CC you need to shut him down.

A good Yi is one that knows when to use Yi, but a bad Yi can still destroy the entire balance of the game because of a few early kills.

I love master yi but I do not believe he is broken. His rework made it more difficult in team situations from what he was b4 the rework. People say he is broken because he is good once fed late game. But all champs are good fed late game. Just on different lvls of teamwork. So no yi does not need to be patched any more than he is right now.

He can put out some serious damage, and be very damaging, but if you build a item 3075 he can be fought. I still agree that he should be nerfed though, his damage is just too good.

I haven't seen a Master Yi in any of my games in a long time. It seems to me, no matter how you build him he falls off or never starts to begin with.

Straight AD/crit.: While he might be able to 1v1 anyone after getting a couple of kills, he is extremely squishy and can be burst down easily.

Tank/Bruiser: He has 0 CC, can't see it working at all.

From what I've seen in the rare occasion that a Yi is in my games, even if he gets fed, there is a certain point that he falls off simply due to him being burst down before he can do anything. He can usually get one alpha strike and an AA off before dying.

I personally disagree with Yi being broke. Although I never played him before the updates, I find he is a very fun Champion to play. He requires careful planning to upgrade correctly, and the gear you use can make or break a game with him. If given the patients and thought, he can be a dominating force, unless you are playing against feeders. Otherwise, he can be very squishy, and killed easily. I've lost a lot of games trying out new Masteries, runes, and gear for him until I found the right set to make him strong, and even now, I still lose a lot.

I think that more Champions should be that way. Make them OP when played right, instead of just OP. A lot of people say Yi is too strong, but that's just because he has the right person playing him,

No Champion should just be strong. I think that everyone should have to think things through and work together to make them work, which is how Yi is.

If you mean yi is broken by he sucks then yes every single person that plays league thinks yi is broken. He is literally the worst champion you could ever play in league of legends.
