My friend gave me a $10 riot point card and I'm not quite sure what I should do with it. I was thinking of getting Cottontail Teemo (cutest thing in the world xD ) but I was also considering getting a champion. I narrowed it down to Yasuo or Darius...just coz . I main Riven. Who should I get? Thanks!
Yasuo is a bit hard getting used to at first but once you master him he can make the difference in the game.
Darius is a great top lane Champion, 'nuff said.
Cottontail Teemo… Think about it. He is cute but if you aren't going to pick Teemo a lot then the skin isn't really needed.
Yasuo is very similar to Riven. He is significantly weaker in the melee department and during his early game, but he outscales Riven, is better in team fights, and fares better against ranged champions. He is essentially Riven optimized for mid lane.
Darius is a very good lane bully for top. He snowballs easily due to his ult, and his DoTs are downright overpowered in the earlier levels. However, he lacks defensive cool downs and mechanisms for a melee brusier. If he doesn't get fed early on, he becomes easy to shut down late game. (This doesn't happen as often as compared to other champions due to his high kill potential.)
Of course, you can always pick Teemo and make the enemy laner rage when he die by mushrooms; that is an option as well.
I personally would go with Yasuo. Despite his nerfs, once you get familiar with his kit, you will be able to pull off some amazing plays. Darius is worth considering, but he fits the same roll as melee brusier as Riven.
Yasuo is kinda neat, and has stupidly high mobility which Darius lacks.
Overall, I like Darius way better though. Maybe he's not the best at super high elos, but against mortal humans he's able to punish mistakes like no other, both winning you games and teaching you to avoid those mistakes at the same time.
