The toxicity in this game is getting way outta hand

I'm really sad that I can't enjoy this game anymore. I really can't believe how mean people can be in this game. I just got trolled by 3/4 of my teammates in my last ranked match who all decided to go mid. Then starting about halfway through I was called a troll and a feeder because I was left on my own and couldn't do much. Our 4th teammate who I thought was okay decided to join in and agree that I was trolling and feeding. I was literally almost in tears because it hurt me so much to see this unfold the way it did. Is there any hope of this stopping? I've also noticed that the worst culprits are "smurfs". The don't care because it's an alternate account. So does this mean this game is dead? It seems that all the a-holes are trying to be as mean as possible to kick out the few nice players that are left so it's just a game full of d**ks. I'm probably just saying all the stuff someone else said but I also feel that I really needed to vent. I really hope the people I'm describing in this post aren't the ones that are gonna respond to this.

It made you almost cry? I do not like harrssment and I think it should be a more punishable offense. Though try not to get offended what random strangers tell you, their opinions don't matter and chances are you will never play with them again. Report them end game and give at least a few phrases they said. You just can't get angry man, trolls are looking for you to get angry.

I just /mute all whenever I play solo. There legit isn't any point in having the chat anymore for me, people only talk to rage at each other not to communicate effectively. I'm playing perfectly fine with pings and sending one-way messages, and I can tell I'm playing better.

Two things: Thick skin and hold out.

For thing one you just have to learn to ignore people who are douche-y and just use the mute button to get through your game with as little annoyance as possible.

For thing two you have to remember that it's summer and you have to wait for the people who rage and troll to go back to school, whether that school is elementary, high school, or college (I hope it isn't the last of those options) the saturation of trolls and flamers will lower a bit once school comes back in.

Wow you didn't join an all mid situation? I'd called you a troll too if you didn't join the party. XD

Just remember that there are still people in the game that aren't jerks. You're one of them, and we would like it if you stayed around. I hope you have more games in your future and I hope they are a lot more fun than that one.

I think it's mainly due to the Summer. Typically the game isn't nearly as toxic as it has been.

So far every game I've played in the past few days have all had at least one troll, rager, AFK'er, etc. Last game my Nasus complained all game about how our first pick only banned "mid laners" and stole top lane forcing the other person to go Support. In the end after our Nasus threatened to AFK and said how hard he would carry us, he wen't 0-1-1 meanwhile I was 13-0 with Miss Fortune, our mid laner was 9-0 as Ekko, our Rengar was like 1-0-6, and our Blitzcrank was 1-3-9 or something.

Basically what I've always been saying is that you're going to either get really good teammates who can easily be 11 or 12 but still be really great players and polite, or trolls who just feed all game and yell at the team.

Fuck them, you're probably never going to see them again so why does their opinion matter?

SexySett6/7/2015, 8:26:18 PM1 votes

Just mute everyone when you get into the game. Just listen for pings.

lDontLiftIcarry6/7/2015, 9:23:29 PM1 votes

complete strangers change your view on the game as a whole? seems pretty dumb if you ask me.

you can report them but unless they're negative attitude is getting in the way you have no reason to do that.

Just playing all mid isn't a reportable offense.

Lighten up.

I tried playing one game as fiddle mid, we didn't really have an adc, etc etc. It could have done fine from what I saw, but god the wukong on my team was stubborn and a complete pessimist.

It's more fun to play with people you know are positive, rather than randoms in blind pick.

At some point, you get used to the idiotic trolls plaguing this game.

League community is the worst out there period

Wolfess6/8/2015, 7:14:38 AM1 votes

you want to see a REAL toxic community? Go play Rappelz The game itself is pretty great with an intricate pet system that actually plays a major role iyersn the game but the market is total shit because players ruin it to shit with inflation. and also people hop on their high lvl alts to pk parties trying to dungeon or to steal dungeon spot from others also the lazy ass players who only let people into pty with high-level-pets because the pets will literally do all the work for you and power-level your lowbies even with mediocre gear for like the first-half of the game and they only allow people with high-level pets into the party because they want maximum-dps.

I think that rewards need to be given out to promote positive behavior. Right now, the only thing we are seeing and riot is doing is punishments without rewards. for the community to change you have to have rewards and punishments. it's simple psychology.

I had a match last night with my friend and while we were in the lobby, my friend chose Lee Sin for jungle, I chose Teemo for top.

Well, i dont like doing top lane with others. and for some reason someone chose Volibear which is what i thought would go top. The Bard told my friend to go mid since we didnt have a mid. My friend told him that he was going jungle since that was what he called.

The guy just didnt care and kept harrassing my friend telling him to go somewhere else. When the match started, it turns out the volibear was just roaming looking for kills and nothing else. so we literally had no top lane because i had to go mid with Teemo since we had no mid. both me and my friend refused to go top just because that bard was being a complete ass.

So all throughout the match the guy was constantly ripping on my friend because he would not go top. Needless to say the guy was being toxic with absolutely no reason for doing such. So my friend and i decided to troll him for the rest of the game. My friends lee sin was a complete beat stick almost 1 shotting the bots and following bard wherever he went and NOT leaving him alone and I just took bards kills whenever i was in range.

In the end the guy just layed out a final insult and just left being all butt hurt for no reason.

My friend and i go by a simple philosophy, you act toxic to us, we will troll the shit out of you.

Alljoy6/7/2015, 7:00:56 AM1 votes

Shit as it is, to be fair, you're going to need a little thick skin to handle the daily occurrences in games like this, which is by no means limited to solely League but online games in general.

It's generally why people stick to premades with friends.

Riot will only take note of your absence. If you can not leave, your compliance of this system is your acceptance. Enough talk. The only thing they will listen to now is their player base dwindling.

Lugg6/7/2015, 7:25:58 AM1 votes

I try to be positive and not toxic, but man is it hard some games with the idiots you get stuck with.

RoyaiChaos6/7/2015, 10:56:36 AM1 votes

We all have games like these, but they're one in many. I've personally had far more positive games than these. These types of games just tend to stick the most.
