I know that it's a brand new champion and that the hype is real with Kindred.. But 7800 on release day? It really is just a ridiculous amount. Especially when it will drop to 6300 shortly. I'm just wondering why @Riot prices new champions so high instead of releasing them at 6300?
To try and curb the hype, so that the store doesn't crash on release day or something, also to try and curb every game being a race to see who can select her fastest

It's called business. A high IP price tag can discourage players to play and grind for some IP, which will take a long time. 7800 will be reduced to 6300 next week, but some people just can't wait.
The higher the prices, the more likely someone who doesn't have the time for IP will buy with cash. If you want to test a new champ when everyone else does, you have to pay in some way or another. Or just wait a week or two. :)
its the same release price as any other champ deal with it.
it's an incentive to buy with rp, because 7800 lp is a LOT of farming. Having said that it is easier to get rp, and on top of that it is cheaper to purchase the bundle of skin + champ, so it is a stacking incentive.
