I call grown women all the time girls. Maybe its a south thing. Its quite common for us to do that.

I read a statistic somewhere that 17% of the champion pool was female.

That number is probably wrong though, I'd have to research it to find the exact percentage, but it's low.\

EDIT: I just counted. 39 champions are female, the rest are either male or genderless. So that leaves a difference of 39 / 85 ratio. 31%
