New hud? I've yet to hear anyone say they liked it. ARAM map? Its there...again, no one really likes it. Bilgewater SR? Its SR with weak gimmicks that cause the game to be even more item-reliant.
Meh. This event bothers me a lot. Far too much serious trash lingering about. Anyone else think Riot should be focusing on more worthy content than...pirate affairs :l
I don't mind the event. It is actually fun and I love the new items. The players ruin it. I wish new players could have their own que.
New Guy: "How do I ban people?"
Me: Looks at screen full of champs and text at top.
New Guy: "I don't know how to ban people."
Me: "Click on the image of the champion."
New Guy: "Crap. I clicked the guy I wanted to play."
Me: Facepalm
1)not part of the event 2)There were some interesting rat pack discussions and the participants seemed to be enjoying themselves. 3)I liked the music 4) You don't even mention the story which people seem to universally love or love hating that gp died.(but actually https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-VBwa2FY5M)
overall some great interaction with the community imo
The writing of the story is the best part of the event by far. Or icons if you feel like grinding for them.
And what do you think is more "worthy content" than an event focused on the Lore of an oft-ignored but still-existent nation in Runeterra?

I actually really like the HUD (there - now you've heard someone say it). I'm still not as used to it as I was the old one, but I'm getting more comfortable, and I find it significantly easier to set eyes on the information I want at any particular moment.
ARAM map? Its there...again, no one really likes it.
Are you kidding? There's threads in these forums begging Riot to trash Howling Abyss and keep the new map permanently.
Also, I like it a lot. Except the whole "turning to boats" thing. They're too big.

It's interesting. I'm liking the new items - at least in theory - and the Brawlers strategies are interesting. Not the most interesting mode, but not the worst, either.
