Riot, can you give a real answer after years of this question?

Why is there not an option to disable chat before a game? You talk about toxicity being a problem but instead of giving a player the option to avoid it you force them to keep the chat up. Rather it's players responsibility not to be toxic, it still doesn't answer the question that if toxicity is such a big problem why you wouldn't give them an option to just disable chat altogether when playing.

Clearly there is posts and petitions all over the boards and old forums requesting this and youtube videos showing how to edit the game file to take the chat off screen and tons of people want this but you do nothing. Is there is a reason for this? Or do you prefer your players have temptation and risk getting suspended banned instead of doing the logical thing and adding in a function the majority of players who give you money want.

I'm sure this topic will get spammed with a bunch of trolls saying ! don't be toxic it's not that hard or ignoring the whole question at hand but there is 0 reason not to add this function if that's what the majority of players want despite your opinions on the matter.

I don't even spend money on this game anymore, I'll spend it on a blizzard game before i ever put a dime back into this game strictly because Riot's motives are clear. It's like a credit card company, they bank on you going passed your limit or not paying your bills on time because that's how they make most their money. Where as Riot seems to count on people fucking up so they can suspend ban someone in hopes that player will make a new account and spend a bunch more money to get their shit back while bragging about how many accounts Riot has with their game.

I just got suspended again because I was getting trolled hard by a a premade team who litterally goes out of their way to ruin people's game for sheer comedy. I got reported at the end of the game and within seconds my account was suspended.. now there is no way in hell with millions of tickets and reports Riot just happen to find my report and suspend my account within 10 seconds of me logging out and back on. It's is completely automated and it's complete bullshit that players can fuck your entire game up and I get suspended for telling to quit being douche bags while they get to fuck my game over and then get me suspended on top of it. Even if i hadn't said anything they all report everyone every game no matter what.

Just mute everyone as soon as the game starts. It's not like they're going to flame/troll/blame you for anything within the first 5 seconds of the game.

You just /mute all, giving an option to mute chat before game in a team game based on communication and teamwork probably wouldn't be a good idea. Also I've been in loads of game exactly as you're describing and I have never been banned or even got a warning for that matter. You probably reacted to being trolled aggressively because you can't control your emotions in a mature manner.

Again everyone is avoiding the question and saying exactly what I said they would. The point has nothing to do with muting people or trying to not be toxic.. The point is almost everyone wants the option to be able to disable chat all together before the game starts like you can in other games... Yet, instead of giving us that option they are ignoring it and just saying mute everyone. We'll what if you are never toxic and then finally get fed up after so many games of getting people trolling you can't help be release steam? Happens to everyone, rather it be in game, on skype or to yourself everyone has gotten pissed at trolls and douche bags in this game.

So instead of just saying mute everyone and try your hardest to avoid human nature.. give us what we want and give us an option to disable chat so that way if we do get a game like that we don't have to worry about going off on the team and getting reported. I for one think logically and logically it makes sense that if you are going to mute everyone every game anyways or don't even use chat just pings then why shouldn't I have an option to just disable chat?

It's pretty sad that I have to find loop holes by going into the LOL folder and changing things for chat scale so it doesn't even show up on screen instead of just making it a freaking option. There is youtube videos explaining how to do it and tons of people saying things like "THANKS i been wanting this but Riot is to lazy to give us the option to just disable chat".

Honestly I don't even care anymore because like millions of other topics this one will either get trolls, deleted and 100% ignored by Riot so I just uninstalled and moved to Hero's of the Storm & Dota 2 where they actually give 2 shits about their community and have addressed many of the issues Riot has and still is ignoring for years.
