@Riot What will happen to abusers of RAF?

Some time ago Riot announced that they would change the "refer a friend"-system. They also said that they would "be taking action against an array of offenders". A few weeks later, some summoners who had bought bot-referrals got an e-mail telling them that action would be taken against them. Afaik, nothing else has happened yet. What are your plans, Riot? Are you going to suspend accounts? Are you taking back IP, RP and content from abusers' accounts? I know some people who would shop RP and skins, but have bought referrals and are afraid that you are going to take away that content from their accounts.

ps: Great Job for the new RAF system, it finally makes sense! ^^

I'd say if they got an email, or have abused the system should have all the content (rp/ip/skins) taken away as a warning. And if further abuse happens then terminate the account!

taking all the content away can be very unequal for different people, because if i spent 10$ or 1000$ in RP, I have a much greater loss in the second case. If I was Riot I would take away all content that was bought with the referrals (it should be quite easy to see in the purchase history), meaning IP, RP, and whatever was bought with those IP and RP. Content acquired after using up all RP/IP from the referrals should remain, imo. Otherwise, you might as well perma-ban the account (?)

Thanks for the link. I had already seen that reddit post, the opener posted an email he got, but didn't say what actually happened afterwards. Looking through the comments, only one person says his account was banned, though I'm not sure it's because of bots, as most other comments say they got an e-mail but no concrete action seems to have been taken yet ^^
