. Cho'gath is fun and all, but I want to extend my horizon and try some new top tank champs. Which one should I pick?

You sound like your a heavy farming style top lane player. I recommend Maokai with his passive it works well with you wanting to rush Spirit visage early. And works ok with frozen heart with him also if your facing a Darius or an AD champion. If your wanting to be aggressive I would also recommend Renekton with his early harass and with no mana issues you can zone people off cs and can sustain well with his fury bar being maximum Q.
