Option to convert owned skins into shards

After buying mystery skins and getting 2-3 skins for the same champion.You really want to get rid of 1 or 2. The option to turn them into shards would be great for these players and those who have old skins on certain champs they barely use and or play anymore, it would be great to get a chance at a different skin. you would have to trade 1 skin and 2 shards to reroll so people would probably buy more chests / keys to get the shards if they don't plan on waiting a month till they get 2 skinshards. Or they have to sacrifice 2-3 skins for only 1

I know this idea is mostly beneficial for those who spent quite some money on LoL allready. But i hope that those who spent so much on skins over the years allready can be rewarded this way. But there have to be reasons for riot as well to make something like this possible. So how riot could benefit from this:

• would sell more chests/ keys
• i think more people would buy mystery chests aswell as you would get a chance to convert a few skins you don't want for another one. Instead of getting that ugly skin on a certain champ u allready have a skin for

This idea does have a downside:

• getting hacked = rip skins and hello shards/ random skins so to counter this something like a 7 day lock on those skins u convert. Or confirmation through email to convert skins. I'm sure riot can come up with some even better ideas for security on this.

Anyways gonna round this up. I would love for this to be a thing as i love the crafting system and would gladly sacrifice some skins for some new goodies. This is just what i would like to see and certainly not everyone agrees. So please leave a comment with your thoughts on if this should be a thing or not and why ^^
