Riot, can we keep the old summoner icons alongside the new ones?

Since Riot seems to be updating every icon across a few later patches, it is sad to see them go, like my beloved little sprout icon. While i still think that they are nice and all, they just don't feel the same anymore. They don't have that classic feel to them. I know Riot wants to keep them up to date like everything else, but didn't want them to change. I gives you the feeling of individuality when you use them, because a lot of other players are using event icons, icons for RP, etc.
