Why is the community on this game so toxic lol? One second you got a friend then you have one bad game and they rage and remove you from their list haha so chilldish. Come on RIOT do something to improve this it is really starting to eat my nerves. I do what I can and try my hardest but all I seem to run into are raging nerds that hide behind their computers and point the finger anywhere but at themselves because they know they are safe there. I wonder what would happen if I met some of these ragers in real life. I bet most of them don't even know what it's like to be with a woman let alone what it's like to be in the sun instead of their mom's basement lololol and that's why I call them basement monsters! Then on top of the ragers you meet, the enemy team talks so much crap to you and then they wonder why they never get honorable opponent votes. I really enjoy this game but being stuck in bronze 5 I get the pleasure of meeting some of the ragingest basement monsters I have ever seen in a game. It's demoralizing and frustrating but it never seems to get better only worse. I have raged before don't get me wrong, I like to win just as much, if not more, than the next person. However, I have turned over a new leaf ,try to be cheerful and positive, but rage seems to be contagious . It is unfortunate that my luck is absolutely horrible when it comes to ranked, I seem get screwed over every time I make a little progress, get nothing but afkers feeders and unskilled players that go to play ranked but yet don't know how to play all the roles and expect to get their way just because of that and then cry when they don't get role they want and then go on to do anything and everything to be a detriment to the team, meanwhile the enemy team seems to be right out of the pro finals. Then comes the rage. you make a mistake or have a bad game then everyone rages at you calls you a bad player and tells you to uninstall. First off about that, please nerds come up with a new insult that one is as old as the internet and maybe I'm being too generous but I am sure most of you are smart enough to come up with something new and way better than that. All in all I would love to progress in ranked but I am about to boycott it because it is about the worst for ragers. I can only really see one big problem here, and that is that the penalties for infractions are not stiff enough. If they were then people might think twice about raging at their teammates or enemies. Just something to think about.

Probably when players actually communicate with their team, stop going lone wolf, balances actually happen, bug fixes happen, etc.

Oh and it starts with the high ranked players belittling other players and so it makes a trend of hate. They should demote for bad behavior to better the community in my opinion but at this point it seems royally Fiddlesticks Urgot Chogath Katarina Evelynn Darius

the word toxic is overused and has been pushed so much that it has turned the playerbase of this game into jelly puppets, whos spines are viable to snap the moment someone calls them bad. They cry that their feelings are hurt and that this person should be banned. What i think is toxic is that you feel that a person who has spent years of time and effort, and has spent hundreds of dollars or more on this passion of theirs deserves to have their account revoked simple because they think your a bad player.

people rage, in this game and in real life, people lack self control, not everyone is like you, not everyone will like you, we ignore the people we dislike and move on, chances are. we wont meet them again. I get called trash by people when i have a bad game, i get insulted on my play, if i report them for harassment, i dont want them to get banned lol, chat restrictions for people who want to be assholes is fine.

You say that all you ever get is ragers and afkers and then proceed to call them "nerds" as means to insult them, for insulting you, you insult other peoples intelligence because they've made you angry. amusing thing is you and them are the same lol. Just like you playing poorly pisses them off and they rage, them raging at you pisses you off and you rage.

Riots new system would see you both banned for negative behavior, people will rage at you, suck it up and mute them if its to much, in life we all have the option to walk away, in league we all have the option to mute.

I am a nerd too and I can tell you one thing I can insult you better than going on a cookie cutter rampage like most of these jelly fish you are calling them so how are you different than me? are you one of these toxic people that never get in trouble but should because the tone of your post suggest just that. and yes I made a huge generalization at 2 am ,o please forgive me god of the jelly fish people I meant no ill will.

i have raged at people in the past for playing poorly, i was never racist, i never wished death threats, but i played so much and was so fatigued all the time that the moment someone or i fucked up, i got pissed, i worked all day at a shitty job to go home and play league and try and climb, I had 200k ip, 193+ skins, thousands of hours of play, 7000+ ranked games played, and i peaked at Diamond IV, I was chat restricted almost 10 times maybe more, i never received longer than a 50 game chat restriction(i have heard stories of 200+ game restrictions), 1 day, my chat restrictions were automatically escalated to a permanent ban, of all the time and effort i put in, i can honestly say, i never expected to be banned from this game for "toxicity"

I started over getting to plat 2, in which i was eventually griefed in game and harassed, at which point i told my jungle "im going to just solo play, dont gank mid" at which he got upset that i said this, and instead of just not coming mid or just ignoring me, he raged, long story short i was reported and the system checked me, upon which i was "banned" for 14 more days by the new tribunal and im pretty sure it was because i repeated the line "please report corki, if you need a reason he called me a -Faggot-" since then i have been waiting for 4 days for support to get back to me.

Look, a person comes at you telling you their gonna scan you ip and kill your family or some random shit, or slinging racial slurs, i agree 100% they need to be removed, their allowing a video game to skew their perception of what is acceptable in the real world and should not be tolerated anywhere. But the "jellyfish" are the people who think that "oh hey this guy says im trash, he is ruining my game experience and there is "nothing" i can do about it, i cant play the game anymore and All that he has left in his wake is my virtual corpse, people like this guy need to be removed from "my" community forever".

People have shitty days, some people are just fucking mean, some people dont like strangers, but pretty sure they all love league, and 1 thing we all have in common is we all want to win, some people react terribly and should have to earn their right to talk back sure. But they should never have their right to even play the game revoked because their not nice, you wanna restrict chat? fine, you wanna revoke ranked privileges for a set number of games or wins? sure. perma ban, or suspension? out of control. we have people trolling champ select, holding people hostage in games, intentionally feeding, afking in games, and yet the most outspoken members of the community seem to think that people who "rage" or dont act "appropriately" are worse than people who "want" to lose.

If people focused more on climbing and less on the dumb shit people say in chat we would all climb and get better at the game much faster, "Toxicity" (chat wise) is not a problem in this game, The human inability to overcome it and ignore it is "our" problem, and Riot is going above and "Way beyond" to try an extinguish a problem that only exists in The weakness of their playerbase's minds. This of course includes me.

You sound like someone who is hurt over the fact that some random stranger removed you from their friends list. The issue of toxicity exists all the way up to the plat and diamond level of play. It's not just exclusively in bronze 5. Yea it's frustrating and demoralizing to experience it but what do you expect Riot to do about it? They can't control how people will react in a given situation. The only thing they can do is deal with the after math.

well since I haven't been able to get out of bronze 5 since they changed the format and I was silver in season 2 and would have been at least gold if the season hadn't ended, I had no idea it was that bad . and no im not butt hurt and saying that I sound like someone who is makes you sound like a toxic person yourself. see? I can make base judgments about you without know anything about you too. I am sure Riot can do something about it since they preach to use from a distance about tribunal this and tribunal that

You are entitled to your opinion just as I am to mine. I still see you as a butt hurt person. That's not going to change. I didn't bother to read the whole thing thoroughly as it was poorly structured. I just skimmed it.

You really think stiffer penalties for infractions will do anything? This isn't real life. They get an easy do over simply from making a new account if they aren't already on an account they use primarily for trolling. Making penalties too heavy will reduce the deterrent effect it should be having on the general population. This is basic criminal justice theory.

The issue isn't the penalties; it's the community itself. People who are toxic will continue to be so regardless of the consequences especially if they get a free restart or clean slate even after being penalized. This is why Riot provides us with a mute button. The report button is merely a way for us to inform riot of the conduct of other players. The penalties are meant to rehabilitate; not punish. You would know this if you actually read the things Riot posts and no I don't have a link to what I am referring to so don't ask.

being toxic is a thing, but what about people who pass the limits. I can tell, someone just made a death threat in my game, everyone stopped arguying in the chat. But this guy really wanted me and a other random teamate dead (in silver V)

O and for all of you jelly fish nerd basement monsters out there that stand by the mute button, muting them is not going to make the problem go away, just letting you know in case you aren't smart enough to figure that out for yourselves. I am trying to get the problem fixed not ignore it.
