Question about Normal Draft vs Normal Blind

Forgive my ignorance, but in all my years playing League, I have never played the Normal Draft que. My question is this, what's the difference between the two normal modes? Is it basically a ranked que with out the ranked part?

Blind Pick has all players (from both teams) pick champions simultaneously. Enemy picks are hidden, and mirror matches are possible.
Draft queue first has teams take turns banning champs, up to 3 per team. Afterwards, teams alternate picking champs. Enemy picks are shown, and mirror matches are not possible.
Blind Draft occasionally shows up for Featured Modes. It's essentially a banning phase followed by standard Blind Pick.

Ranked uses the Draft system, so, yes, normal Draft is basically ranked without the ranked part.
