How come my friends banned league account somehow is chatting me and my other friend?

My friends account got permanently banned about 1 week ago and randomly his account started typing to me and my friend and when my friend tried going onto his account he got the same message that he was permanently banned. I'm very creeped out and I was wondering if anyone had the same experience or has an explanation about this?

Prob using the mobile app to talk to you since your not technically using the game client its not kicking him out
