Not going to be blaming my team for this, considering it's part of the game, but why did I lose so much lp for losing a game whereas we had no chance of winning? Miss Fortune left five minutes before the game ended, I kept my lane up (Until it their entire team pushed) and didn't give myself out on a silver platter to the enemy team. I'd say my farm was quite average too...Compared to my team mates, I think I did pretty good. In my opinion.

Why did I lose so much LP?item 3070 Morgana item 3070

Welcome to elo hell. Welcome to riot's exiles. Welcome to the a$$fucked by riot ppl. We saldy welcome you to our pathetic gaming experience.

Now after this glorious introduction i will explain what happens and you lose so much.

The game is bases on silly ranking system originaly created for chess players i think by some dude whose name was elo ( again not sure) but anyways the elo ranking system pretty much has a number for each player. The so called MMR ( elo and mmr are the same thing) the MMR is supposively your skill level, and determines those lp gains and losses.

Now mmr ( match making rating) is matching you with people of similar mmr. If you are in bronze 3 your mmr should be aproximately 900 ( not entirely sure) how ever if have in the past lost many, many ,many games your mmr will have droped by alot. So your mmr might be 600, now this means your mmr is way lower than your league average and thus the system is trying to hild yoi down. Therefore it rewards you with fewer points and it takes away a tone.

Mmr used to be visible to players but for some reason riot decided to hide it. There is a website that estimates your mmr. Its not entirely accurate but pretty close. Type in Google " op gg" and you will find it.

Your MMR ONLY depends on wins/losses, KDA doesn't matter, in game stats don't matter, whether you place one ward or 50 it doesn't matter, whether you get 400 cs or 40 it doesn't matter its just wins/losses.

MMR doesn't reset, another genious wau for riot to fck you up and throw accounts to trash, accounts that you might have spent shit loads of real money in.

The only way for your mmr to go up is to win approximately 60% of your games. Your lp will not go up until your mmr matches the mmr of your league and thus the system considers you to be a better player.

Here is where i am opposed to the system.

If mmr matches you with players of the same skill level, the odds of winning are 50-50 so really hard to maintain a high win ratio, and thus really hard to standardize your mmr. So elo hell.

Just so you don't feel alone i gain 9-12 lp and lose 19-24...

A few things things:

First, don't show names in the forums. (I think this is fine, but just in case don't do it)

Second, how much LP you gain, and lose, is based on a lot of factors. Each teams' combined MMR. If they have a much higher MMR than you, you will loose less and vise versa. Your MMR, the higher yours is when compared to everyone else the more you lose and the less you gain. And lastly, and most importantly, is how many games you have played. In your first 50 or so games you will gain and loose crap tons of LP. If you won that one I'm willing to bet you would have gotten ~40LP

Edit: I take that last part back, you have WAY more than 50.

Your win/loss ratio is 50/50, this is riot's way of saying you're exactly where you belong. As you improve, those numbers will go up.
