What is the point of Flex Queue?

I am challenger in flex queue, i will describe what a usual match consists off.

10 solo players that are d1-d5 in range, that play play it because solo ranked is too serious and normal is too useless for improvement. The level of play is also low, people do not play to their win conditions. Most of the time they run around the map clueless what to do.

What is the point of flex queue when the people just play solo? Will there be any rewards at least to not render it completely absolute?

Why not just bring back team ranked, have the ladder be reset every month and have the top 10-20 teams each month be qualified for an online tournament with money prizes? Or just remove flex queue and integrate it with go4lol, they have been around for so long and have had so many tournaments, a lot of people don't even know they exist.
