Be careful and take notice of unusual things that happens to your ping

I remember where I played a game and I was in another lane and my mid was wrecking their mid. Right into mid-game, he says on chat that his ping is spiking occasionally to 2000ms and that does not usually happen. Granted, that some people who have really bad internet or playing on a bad connection can go that high but let's rule that out for a sec.

Say that he did have good connection, then boom, he has really bad ping for the rest of the game and lost his could've-won lane due to that. I asked him if his ping was usually like that and that person told me that they didn't. Post-game chat, I told him to message me. He thought I was going to bitch at him, lol. No, I was going to give my hypothesis on what might have really happened: someone on the other team (or maybe even allied teammates but why would they?) was tampering with your internet. He/she doesn't know what drop-hacking is nor what DDOS is. I enlightened that person about it and that person thanked me afterwards.

I just hope you guys out there can see these signs and unusual situations. I have had this happened to me before, but my internet was cut off for a good 15 minutes. That moment, I was owning mid Syndra with my Kassadin. All of a sudden... "Attempting to reconnect" after I slaughtered her. I then came back into the game, just have have my top Fiora say that she's going to report me for AFKing. GG, right? I also remember that my NAT type was open so leaving it at moderate may help protect you from attacks.

Anyways, if your ping spikes to an immense amount when it usually doesn't then something is wrong.

**P.S. There are, obviously, some websites that offer drophacking and other miscellaneous third party assistance that gives an unfair advantage. **
