Opinion on the NEW HUD.

Hi Riot. I like your idea of creating more visual space but heres the problem. The irony of the new hud is, yah, u created more space for left and right side of screen, but vertical vision of screen has been REDUCED. This is due to the increased size of the icons (such as increased ability icon size). For numerous times i found it hard to see and click on enemy when they were at the bottom of the screen when compared to the old hud, and find myself having to scroll down and unable to see enemy atking from me at the bottom a lot more often. Overall i just think that the huge center hud is so in the way when comapred to the old center hud due to the larger icons. Pls make the hud icons smaller to create MORE VERTICAL vision, or atleast give an OPTION to CHANGE the size of the HUD AND/OR move it around. Please look into this.

Another problem is the Sound option. Its currently very buggy. So far ive found that all sound seems to be at max volume and the announcer and ping sounds cannot be muted or adjusted in the Options menu.

Once again, Agree with you 100% on this. I also find it to be view blocking.

You can reduce the size of the HUD. In the Options screen, select the Interface tab, and use the HUD scale slider to change the main center HUD (I have mine set to 10, but YMMV).

Additionally, all of the audio effects can be controlled with sliders on the Sound tab of the Options screen.

Oh thx didnt know u can already change the hud. But I still think riot should look into that large default hud size. The old icons were more than big enough to read, for me at least. Yes, bigger means its even easier to read, but i think more vision of the environment is far more important. Don't really need ability icons to be bigger than the size of a thumb on a regular laptop screen. I'd say keep the new HUD, but use the old hud size.

And as for the Sound sliders, if you try the ping slider and the annoucer slider, both of them do not affect the sound of ping and announcer, even if u mute ping and announcer. Theres new update right now however maybe they JUST fixed that gonna try it out.

I don't disagree. It weirds me out that with a resolution of 1920x1080, I have to turn the HUD scaling to 10 (out of 100!) to get it acceptably small.

I hadn't had a problem with that, but then I've been enjoying the hell out of the announcer, so I hadn't messed with that one. I know the Master still works, and the Voice. Sounds like a minor bug, and may well have been what the hotfix was for. Good catch!

Nope The Ping Sound still doesnt work just checked. The slider and mute does not affect the sound of ping in any way. But the Hud scale fixed my size issue so once again, thx for that info. :)

my problem is everything is so cluttered together. Before, each piece of info you needed had a specific spot and was easy to find. Now with everything so close together, it takes a few seconds to actually find the info you are looking for.

Also the new map looks like a huge downgrade in terms of quality

My problem with this is they took out your cs score. Thats something we want to constantly look at but now u have to press tab. The cs can be easily fitted onto the corner of the new HUD without actaully making the hud bigger. Dunno why riot took that info out.

They didn't take it out, it's just above the minimap now.
