Hi guys, before I start I just want to say two things

  1. Happy (early) Halloween
  2. If anyone has 5k rp lying around i won't mind if u gift me

Anyway what i'm thinking is that soon i might play ranked and i want to know if i should learn all the positions well. I can top lane with Zac , Garen , i can mid with Velkoz , i can jungle with Zac and i can sup with Zac . What im trying to do is buy Twitch for the adc component. And i want to know 3 things

  1. Is it worthwhile to learn all roles, or should i just become good at one or two
  2. Is twitch a viable adc
  3. Will we ever have 5 top champ masteries ( the reason i became proficient at 3 champs is because i wanted good order. Three rank 5 champs on the front page looks neat and cool. So im not really wanting to use any more champs. I really like order. just FYI) Thx guys and happy hunting

Try using Kindred. That champ can fill almost any position. P.S. Especially ADC...

Learn all the roles, garen is typically a %100 ban atm, learn veigar / malz mid. Twitch is kind of a 50/50 champ in my eyes and you need a good support to back you up. Also learn support. Jungle, you'll rarely get forced into that roll but it wouldn't hurt to have one tanky jungler you're good with, or yi.

It's fine to main 1 role and perfect it, but if it's an oft contested role you're going to suffer when you don't get it if you're really bad elsewhere. For me, I main Support and over about 170 games I didn't get it 5 times, so maining Support is a good one if you don't like to lose your role.

Besides that, you want to be familiar with every role. Get comfortable with maybe 2 champions in every role (even if it's 1 for multiple lanes like Lulu), and more than that if what you pick has a high pick/ban rate like Mordekaiser. You don't have to be able to win all roles, just not be a detriment to your team.

Try to make some of your options fit the meta. Breaking the meta is ok and all, but if you aren't really good at it it's going to hold you back. (basically, you might want a support other than Zac)

A few tips for starting Ranked play;

  1. Practice in Draft Pick rather than Team Builder or Blind Pick, because you need to be used to the ban phase and not always having pick priority to get your role.

  2. Set up a variety of Mastery pages to fit all the choices you might make. You can make up to 20 and they are free, so use them. Runes cost, so you might be short on good ones and pages, but try to make the best of those when you can too.

  3. Read guides on your preferred champions. You may be comfortable with your favorite champions, but that doesn't mean you can't be making better item and ability order choices. Guides such as those found on Mobafire will typically give you informed strategies, and tell you exactly why those choices were made. I'm not seeing Dorans or Flasks on your recent matches, so I'm thinking maybe you're starting with Boots every time, and that's not usually the best option (sometimes it is though).

  4. Watch high elo streams. You'll learn a lot from watching people that are great at the game, things you won't see in low elo.

And yes, Twitch is a viable ADC. If you enjoy a champion, you're going to perform better on it than a "top tier" champion that you don't like.

I love Zac he is so very fun, but hard to carry with if you want to win. I suggest having about 2 champions in each role that you feel comfortable with. My suggestions:

ADC - Avoid Twitch . His laning phase is harder then most and has no natural escapes.

I highly recommendTristana . She has everything you want in an adc. Attack speed boost, maneuverability with resets, ult to disengage, and an e that nets you kills and tower destruction.

Jinx a hyper carry late game, snare to get away and fun ult.

Support: Can be really fun.

Protection - Play Braum if you enjoy saving peoples lives, and making heroic plays

Kill lanes - Nautilus Blitzcrank - Hooks and cc, fun too.. Makes your adc get fed.

Jungle - XinZhao - Devourer, good ganks as well, and Zac when you want a tanky jungler

Top - Gangplank - thats my main b4 the rework, hes even better now. If you struggle last hitting like I did before I started playing rift heavily hes amazing at that.

Mid - Lux Veigar
