LeaverBuster a bit too severe?

Well, I'm a long time playing League player. started enjoying it casually around S2, then more seriously around Season 3.

Never have I been Banned/placed on lower priority or chat banned before, Never.

I recently took a somewhat long break from League, due to boredom and other stuff.

Coming back into teh game hyped to play and stuff, my very first game I get to have to disconnect due to IRL emergency.Stuff happen, we all know it. Keep in mind, I have not played a single league game since most likely patch 4:20, and we are at 5:18 the time speaking of this.

So my next game the day afterwards, I get a lower priority Queue timer for 5 games, 10 minutes each. All in all, I think it is a really great initiative, as leavers often impact game in such a negative way, especially on the ranked scene. But I will be honest I found it a bit hard on me, as a first offense in SOOO long, but I swalloed the pill and played thru the 5 games without further incident.

Now, I maybe played up to 10 games without a Lower priority Queue. again, without an incident. That was until my last game. Game crashed on loading screen, no biggie, I start the launcher to get the message that some files might be corrupted and gets prompted to repair it.wich I do.

Process take roughly 5 minutes, then I rush back into the game, goes on to apologise to teammates and proceed to win.

Only to find out while queuing for my next game, wich is like, right now, that I am placed back into a Queue, but this time of TWENTY minutes, again for 5 games!

My issues here is as goes.

I didnt get any incident for a good 15-20 games all in all, including teh ones on the 10 minutes Queue.

I managed to reconnect to the game that I had to repair, and altho teh early phases of the game might have been a bit harder for my team,I still connected for over 75% of the game. so Why a leaverbuster there?

Also, I do get that repeated offenses should be punished accordingly, but having to sit for 20 minutes before even being in queue, then playing a game that can last up to an hour, add to this the ban/select phases of ranked play, I think it might be a bit too much.

This is basically my toughts, maybe some riot memeber will read it, maybe not, I just felt I should share these with teh community and see what comes out as well, because in teh end, if the post gets massive feedback about Leaverbuster being a bit too severe, Riot might be inclinded to change it a bit. After all, we the players, make the game what it is! :)

The system is looking at % of games you leave so time is not a factor. If you left a game and didn't play for a year it would be the same as if you left the last game you played yesterday.

25% is an absurdly high percentage of games to leave and 10, 20, 30 games is not a long time to go without leaving. If everyone left even 10% of their games there would essentially never be a game that is 5v5 start to finish.

You may want to take a look at your spelling.
