This is why I just afk/quit games sometimes

You know, being a mature player, I realised a few things in life, one being, if you play a game to enjoy it and dont, just leave it.

Now I might get flammed, cursed even raged at for saying this out loud, hell, I might even get banned for it, who knows, but enough is enough! I play league of legends to have a good time while competing against an enemy team, I try, God knows I try to be a positive force, even when things go sour. I go by this simple rule since S2 where I had a raging issue* If what I've got to say ain't nice to hear, then I just don't speak at all!*

So, going by this simple rule, I expect people to be respectfull,or at least to Shut the hell up, but yeah, this is Internet I guess.,..

The problematic right now that I see is, To actually enjoy playing League I would have to mute E-V-E-R-Y single person in the game, why do you ask? Simple, I don't stand people acting up through a computer screen, doing the very best they can to lash out at people , insult them, troll them purposely because people in general cant be self criticised or have a straight forward look at their errors, therfore need to put the blame on someone else! Muting EVEN one of your teammates should NOT be an option in a team game, because it affects they strategy layouts and gameplay in general.

So I decided to have All chat disabled ( GOD it feels GOOD!!!!!!! HIGHLY recommand it to anyone having same issues as I do!) And whenever I would have to mute multiple team mates, I usually try to have a surrender vote passing on to move on, but trolls/tryhards being what they are, it usually don't pass, so I dont bang my head anymore, I just leave the game.

The tribunal processing is somewhat flawed, because put it this way, if I stay in the game I usually leave, the beligerent(s) will file report)s) on me, therfore, MY own report will have less weight, so basically if people decide to league on you to blame you and report you, you have no way to actually make it better.

On this i'm signing out, I realise League is no more fun for me, sadly due to it's community.

Is it because you're a quitter?

Stating that you are a mature person and being a mature person are two different things.

Now I might get flammed, cursed even raged at for saying this out loud, hell, I might even get banned for it, who knows, but enough is enough! So you're making a point to say that you're speaking out regardless of whether you get banned, then follow up by saying you're done with LoL. Saying, "To hell with the consequences!" loses its punch when you have no actual risk of consequences. It just sounds melodramatic.

So, going by this simple rule, I expect people to be respectfull,or at least to Shut the hell up, but yeah, this is Internet I guess.,..

That's a faulty assumption. You don't have to mute every single person in the game to avoid bad attitudes and ragers.

Lumping "trolls/tryhards" together? Not exactly mature. Just because someone doesn't want to give up hope isn't a bad thing, and leaving the game is the opposite of mature. When you queue up, you implicitly agree to commit your time and effort to your team. Don't want to commit? Don't join the queue. There's a reason that "AFK/Leaving" is a report category.

You don't understand the Tribunal at all. If you are not a problem, their reports will have no effect on your report weight. You can be spam reported all year long if you are a mature player who doesn't break the rules, and no penalties will befall you. Your report weight is lowered if you give false reports or if you are seen as a problem player. By leaving, you are practically guaranteeing that you get reported. Funny how that works.

To give you brief glimpse into what one experiment is testing, first, we have to understand that the Reporting system is different than the Tribunal system. The Reporting system's sole job is to calculate a player's report accuracy, and a lot of fancy math has gone into the system to make sure that a report is only taken into account when it is accurate. So, if a player is a consistently negative player themselves, their reports might be worth less because the system may consider them a bad judge of others' behaviors. If a player troll reports and gets their 3 friends to troll report, the system will completely toss the reports out. All of the experiments that use reports benefit from the above system to make sure that players aren't able to just abuse someone with random reports.

Always report if there's a problem. Fear no reports if you are not the problem.

This reeks of "I want the last word."

  • You declare yourself mature.
  • You claim that the only way to avoid abuse is by muting every single person.
  • You try to justify leaving games... and one of those justifications is "tryhards."
  • You again try to justify leaving games... by giving an excuse that otherwise you will be reported by "the belligerents" and that your report weight will be lowered because of it, which is proven wrong by Lyte's explanation.
  • Ironically, you claim that people in general can't acknowledge their errors and must blame on others, when this is exactly what you are doing.

So you want to flip the bird to the general masses here while continuing to call yourself mature to sound better than the dross you're leaving. That's pretty transparent... immature, too.
