I don't get the difference.

I know I'm about to sound stupid, but i seriously don't understand what is the difference between GD and Miscellaneous. It's like the same topics on both pages, why not just have one? Why have both?

Yeah, I've been wondering about this. Seems pretty redundant to me.

Misc guidelines:

There are an awful lot of other boards. Are you sure your post doesn’t go in one of them? It’s definitely possible. We just want to double-check. Well, anyway. If it doesn’t fit anywhere else, Miscellaneous is probably the board for you. Of course, that doesn’t mean anything goes. Stick to the Rules, and make sure you vote for the content that you want to see more of.

GD Guidelines:

This is the wild wild west. Unlike the rest of the boards, anything goes. That is, unless it violates the Universal Rules. HAVE FUN KTHXBAI.

The difference is this:

Misc. is the place for content on the Boards that doesn't have its own home; GD was created to help migrate over a community, and provide a more traditional forum experience (locked chronological view and no sorting by votes).

As such, it's OK to post a gameplay discussion in GD. It's not OK to post a gameplay discussion in Misc, because it belongs in Gameplay & & Balance instead.

Well miscellaneous is for miscellaneous things while general discussion can be about anything. Pretty big differences there kappa.
