Editing Alpha Client Replay Highlights

So, I'm thinking about adding some "new" content to my YT, and I have be using the hell outta the alpha client replay system. The one qualm I have with it is the format it saves in. And while I understand this is mostly about size (correct me if I'm wrong), webm files are unusable in the current software I use to edit (Windows Movie Maker xD). So first, feel free to laugh at my use of an obsolete video editing software. Second, please point me in the direction of some relatively inexpensive and quality editing software.

I was just browsing the forums and I came across this post. Do you have a preferred budget you'd like to stick to? I currently use CyberLink PowerDirector, but it was on sale for $70 at the time (MSRP >$200).
