[Idea] Toggle attack move for left click

Greetings,

I just tested using left clicking for attack move and I really think it can be very usefull, BUT :

  • I couldnt click on the minimap to watch things
  • Couldnt place wards without using smartcast ('cos left click is attack move)
  • I could click on champion to see their stats but ofc had to stop/click back right after
  • I couldn't click in my inventory to sort out things

So I'm thinking having a key to toggle attack move on left click would be perfect as all those left click actions (ward, minimap, items) aren't use in battles/laning phases.

Or just making the attack move left click able not to interfere with the HUD and to place wards would solve this too.

I'd rather have toggle "target players only". Better still let us bind both. :D

I just made a post that would fix most of your problems if riot fixed it. I suggested that they make smartcast range indicators have a short delay after you click, so if you release it immediately the range indicators wouldn't show up, and everything would work exactly like normal smartcast, but if you held down the button for say 0.5seconds, the indicators would show up allowing you to place wards etc.

Also, you can disable minimap clicking, and get used to just moving the camera around on the minimap and simply click outside of the map, instead of clicking on the map. I've gotten used to it. There is also a certain config you can have that allows you to sort inventory, the only drawback is that it moves your character when you move items around. I just learned to deal with clicking on people/turrets to see hp/items and then immediately clicking agains to prevent movement.

Also, you can learn how to use the hold key to prevent yourself from moving when you click.

I also made a post talking about how they could make a smartleftclick that would give a baked in option to make leftclick attackmoveclick, while still letting it function as an accept button for normal casting, with the added benefit of leftclick being transformed into petmoveclick when you have a pet on the field.
