Do any riot employees every accept friend requests? Reading through forums has began to stir this question in my mind. Are they even allowed to and if so would any of them even consider it?! I just want to see what you guys have to say or what riot employees have to say about this. They probably get spammed with friend requests if their own friends list arent full already xD
If I have an interaction with someone on the forums or in person such that the request isn't completely out of the blue, I'm comfortable accepting a friend request. Different Rioters will have different levels of privacy.
Honestly I'm mostly a Solo Queue Ranked player, though, so being on my friends list doesn't really accomplish very much. ;-)
Yeah, similar to other Rioters: random invites, not so much, but if we've met on forums or at events or wherever, happy to add you. You probably don't want me on your team though. :-)
From what I understand the only requirement game-wise is that a League account is required and they can't be complete arseholes (as they're representing the company still). Other than that I believe they're just another member of the community and playerbase. As you said, they probably get bombarded by FR's often so you probably have to make a really good impression/meet the IRL. All speculation of course.

Yep, it varies from person to person. I got a few Rioter buddies on my friends list and generally you can find some Rioters who are very community oriented and interact well with others on the forum and in-game.
They're amazing people.
