Does duoing affect your future mmr when you solo?

So say I duo with someone when i'm with silver and the enemy team (also my team) has gold players. Do I still get gold players in the enemy team (and in my team) if i solo?

yes it does. If you're silver and you duo with a bronze you will face weaker opponents but you will also have weaker team mates. It will normally try to average out both teams. If you're silver playing with gold you will normally face opponents at your mmr and your duos mmr.

When you go to solo Q it will change. If you duo with someone lower, you end up normally facing weaker enemies when you solo, so your mmr and LP may not rise as high unless you go on a strong win streak and if you Lose you will fall hard. If you do lose its best you win hard or else you could end up lower than ever.

As for duoing with someone above you then going back to solo Q you normally will climb fast but if you climb to much and lose consistently you will drop just as hard. Its best to never lose(no shit eh)or go below a 3 game win streak before losing imo. Its important you win more than you lose.

There is no beating the system. You can try and think you can but if you just don't win...you just don't win...Eventually you will hit a wall and you will need to climb over that wall. Failure to climb that wall could end up with you falling behind the one you just climbed. Coming from someone who has consistently went from Gold 5-1 back to 5 to 3 to 4 to 2 to 5 to eventually plat 5 then plat 4.

I 1st started rank solo Q sometime in season 3. I won my placements. Got put in silver 3. Quickly climbed in to gold in a few months. In season 4....I got placed in Silver...silver 4 or some shit.....Made no sense... I was in gold in about 2 weeks. Season 5....HOLY S-H-I-T!!!!!! I was placed in silver....again... this time...it was harder than ever...The amount of bronze last seasons were insane. So many noobs got lucky and placed in silver in which imo they did not deserve to be in. It took months to get into gold...Honestly...I felt like quitting league. The amount of times I was told this season to "kill my self" or "you are shit" "bad" "noob jungler" "can't gank"/etc it was insane......

Then something happened to league..it became fun again..it changed....No it wasn't the map...Honestly the map took some getting used to... When champions like Chogath Nautilus Sejuani hit the floor...so much changed. I normally used to always be a adc/supp Sivir Caitlyn Leona Nami main with a constant Skarner Fiddlesticks Sejuani Very luckily I made it to gold and took a break....I was done...I was fucking done....I was like I got my gold reward...im fucking done.... but cinderhulk made the game fun again and I couldn't stop....Eventually it died down and I still couldn't climb. I remember playing Nautilus and Chogath before they were a thing. Before they were either Mid cho or support Naut or even Top Nautilus as a flex pick...I was playing the tough bastards way before then. Those 2 champs got me into gold this season and kept me playing....then league had to ruin the game. Nerf the shit out of tank junglers. Then they made tanks feel like squishy immobile damage dealers who got soloed by a Tooth pick with a sword MasterYi thanks to item 3931 not to mention Shyvana with one...that shit is cancer...I was done with league..I heard of the new champion TahmKench ...Didn't care....Azir was a buggy ass mess, Bard was shit had to be buffed and still...he just doesn't cut it in the meta. Ekko was so op and gave me aids...I had to take a break....Then I decided to give the game a go....Played a game of TahmKench ..... and

TahmKench and the Velkoz Q change and a little bit of Braum was enough to get me in Platinum. Granted TahmKench is as broken as Ekko release. But no one but me and a few others saw that. Until he saw pro play in the lcs...but as a support..where he is SHIT in SOLO Q. well not shit...its just your team was toxic because you picked him because he was "shit" because your team didn't think he was good because he wasn't being used by pros at the time. Not to mention your team most of the time has no clue as to wtf he did because they can't be bothered to watch the champion spotlight.

Took about a full season just to improve my skills to get in Platinum where I more than likely will be placed back in Silver 1 or Gold when the new season restarts which honestly will make it harder to improve my skills as I will be back to facing weaker opponents and weaker team mates...Where its basically a dice roll depending on your team mates, dcers and /etc.

I'm not sure about ranked, but I can say for sure that playing with higher MMR friends in normals will cause you to start to get matched up with higher ranks for a little while, until your MMR falls back into place (or it might stay there if you're good enough)
