If you want Riot to listen, stop giving them money

I can't say for certain if it will actually work, but I imagine that if there's a sizable drop in their profits, Riot will have to realize that people aren't willing to take their BS anymore.

If the community makes enough of an uproar about how they won't buy anymore RP until Riot gives us Solo-Queue, they might actually listen for once.

While I seriously doubt that a loss of profit from a few people on the boards will be enough to grab their attention, it's at least a start.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong, and it'll somehow make everything worse. I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks.

Will posting this have an impact on anything? No. Will it get even a single person to stop buying skins? Unlikely.

But it's better than sitting in silence taking Riot's crap without even trying to do something about it. As pointless and hopeless as the effort is.

Just because it's been said before doesn't mean that it doesn't work; as we've seen time and time again, it's one thing to say you're going to do something, and actually doing it.

How do you know that these people who make these threads are actually doing as they say? What proof do you have that they actually stuck to their guns and didn't give Riot any more money?

Personally, I've only given Riot $20 total, and that was back in late season 5. Really not too long ago, but long enough for someone like me who doesn't spend a lot on anything.

I wasn't trying to question you, I was trying to say that, just because it's a common sentiment, doesn't mean that everyone who says it is going to follow through. He seems to think that just saying you'll do something is the same thing as doing it.

You completely miss the point. League is a free game. Players give Riot money through buying optional aesthetics for the game. If people stop buying those optional aesthetics, Riot isn't getting money from their players.

While Riot of course has other revenues of currency, skins are their main source of profit from the people playing their free game.

I know posting this won't accomplish much, if anything at all. It'll just fade into the endless void of the boards, never to be seen again. But when there's something that a lot of people take issue with, saying something is better than saying nothing.
