"Choking" "Physiological Over Arousal" Bronzie playing Forgetfullness issues..
"Choking is suboptimal performance, not just poor performance. It's a performance that is inferior to what you can do and have done in the past and occurs when you feel pressure to get everything right," argues Beilock.
Hello! I'm In bronze. Over the past few days, I've been noticing something about me that occurs when I play. Although I know very little about the game most of the time. There are times when I feel like I should "Know Better"
Say, you're in your lane. and you're concentrating hard on last hitting. But there's soo many thing's you could also be looking out for, and calculating, and thinking about to always stay 2 steps ahead of your opponent.. You know about this stuff but you always forget about it every time you come onto the rift.
Unless I'm constantly thinking about it so I don't forget I find it hard to put thing into practice. Like.. Actives Were a hard thing for me till recently, because I kept forgetting about them.. I still do usually...
I think back to what I do in my games and I just sit there face palming myself telling myself "You should Know better!"
I should Know to ward
I should know to Check map
I should Know to last hit/farm better
I should know to do all kinds of stuff...
I could go on but that'd take forever.. Despite the fact of knowing all this basic stuff It still slips my mind when I enter a game.. I guess Partly because of Choking or something. You try so hard to do well but you then realize you're doing poorly.
I looked up a video wondering if there was something to this.. I found something interesting.. but it's aimed more towards Academics and testing then League. but when You bridge that gap in your own mind.. it starts to make a lot of sense in league terms...
