I'm still bronze because I am being oppressed.

I've been stuck in bronze my entire life and I couldn't figure out why. Today after watching sound and logical arguments made by feminists I found my answer. It's because I am being oppressed.

There is an inherent difference here. I will try to explain with small words.

Ranked systems in league have no inherent bias for or against any player. It does not matter if you main an ADC or a jungler, prefer female champs to males, or so on. If you win, you move up. If you lose, you move down. There is nothing stopping you from getting better at the game and continuing to climb.

Oppression, however, is different. The system (society or some other social construct) is inherently biased for or against a specific group for reasons outside the ability of that group to preform at a task (which is usually what the system is looking for an individual to do). In other words, because you are part of a demographic (say, left handed people) you are more likely to get carded when buying alcohol. In this case, you get carded each and every time, but your right handed friend gets carded only once out of 100 times. This has nothing to do with how old you look, or what state you're in, or how much you are buying. It's simply because you are left handed. Now, you might be saying, at this point, but how does this matter? I show my card, I'm 21, I'm good to go. While true for this example, imagine if you got searched each time you went somewhere. You don't have a gun, drugs, knives, etc. You're good to go. But it happens all the time, and it is a time consuming (and potentially invasive) process. That's oppression.

How do these compare? League may be a system that judges you, but it is based purely on performance - how you match against other players. Other players may be better than you, but that is not the system being biased. The system is representing your skill level against others of equal skill. If the system were oppressing you, you would be playing against players with significantly higher ranks, for reasons you cannot control.

You aren't stuck in bronze because you have flash on d and not f. You're stuck in bronze because you aren't playing at a higher skill level.

Fight the good fight, bronzies deserve equal representation, and they will not stand for the cruel twisted oppression by the disgusting cis white male challenger players.
