Lissandra or Vladimir?

Which should I buy next? I'm a fan of poke mages that go ham-- I enjoy Karma (obviously), Zyra, Syndra, Lux, etc. but I'm looking for a viable toplaner to play. I think tank mages are super fun to play, yesterday I went tanky jungle Zyra and it was so much fun. Which do you think is more suited to my playstyle, Vlad or Liss? Any answers are appreciated<3

Liss is probably more pokey but is a little bit harder. She is a lane bully though and can just remove a target in a teamfight.

Vlad is easier and safer but has a reaaaallly bad early game. Late game carry due to how tanky he gets+his massive AOE damage.

I prefer Liss due to my overall preference towards early game, but both are good choices.

I'm a vlad main but I have no idea why his early game is bad. I play aggressive as heck unless it's against a riven. Vlad is tanker and more aoe. He's uber tanky

His early game is "bad" because he does not have access to his full combo yet. Unless you're going in on him with 25% hp in your health bar you pretty much are safe from his early game "burst combo" of E+Q. I want to say that because he has no DPS in his kit he lacks the kill potential early game thus making him "bad" early game.

I don't see it though. Just move up, press Q on the enemy and go back to ignoring them and last hitting. Just keep pressing Q on them until they have to back before you. If they decide to go balls deep just press W and back away. Once you hit 6 poke them down low enough, initiate with ultimate, press E Q W E and watch them explode into pools of blood.

Lissandra is more suited to you. She has better burst in her kit and all of her moves come attached with some form of CC. Her kill potential is higher, she has more mobility and provides more utility to her team. She is better at setting up plays and can make plays on her own with more efficiency than Vladimir can.

Vladimir is a more defensive champion who outsustains the enemy and is just a pain in the ass to shove out of lane. He either whittles you down with his transfusion ability and if you decide to all in him he just pools away to safety. He is a better tank but lacks the utility of the other champions you listed earlier. Vladimir is the better split pusher though and when surrounded with teammates with AOE lockdown he is the better choice.

Thank you! Looks like I'm buying Lissandra! <3

I would also say Lissandra. In addition to her more poke-oriented style, she has more security for situations where you make mistakes, and she builds rather defensively as well. She even has the added benefit of being a flex pick to the top lane, and counters most assassins--both AD and AP.

Besides, Vlad is looking at minor changes to his kit very soon. You're probably better off waiting on him to see what Riot does with his kit overhaul.
