So why wasn't Magma Chambers released?

I'm pretty sure a lot of people would love a 1v1 map (With ranked implemented) I mean it could be a 5v5 map but that would be too similar to Howling Abyss and the map was so short it would be so hard to end (People going to base and healing up constantly) If it was released it would be cool to have something like a harder version of Dragon with a buff somewhere between Baron buff and Dragon buffs strength,

I don't know though it's just my opinion and I never saw the explanation for why it was gotten rid of but it would be a cool replacement for Dominion (If ever replaced)

1v1 ranked? No, just no. This isn't Blade and Soul. It is basically the opposite of what LoL is about: A Teamwork Game.

So? It's an option and a gamemode. If you are so dead set on classic League you don't HAVE to play it.

I didn't say that i am dead set on classic League, I meant that 1v1 RANKED it's bad. You can always play custom games on ARAM. 1v1 normal would be OK. AND that was available as Snowdown Showdown.

But why would other ranked modes be inherently bad? It doesn't take anything away from ranked SR; it just provides alternate opportunities to compete and show skill. Same reason for why Treeline has ranked.

On the other hand, if your reason is that Riot doesn't support Alternate Maps enough for a ranked 1v1 to work out in terms of balance, I could sort of agree with that. However that's just Riot neglecting everything besides SR, not an innate problem with the queue.

Treeline it's still team vs team. IN 1v1 there can be players out there who know an almost complete nothing about the game but are informed enough to buy 4 dorans and pots at lv 1, and know how to 1v1 effectively, to get a first blood. So they get ranks like let's say PLATINUM V in 1v1 when they are at a silver level. AND because of that, the borders of the end of the season will be blue, even if you were just a silver. This was just a reason of many.

I still don't get how that's significantly different from what happens now. Last season, someone could theoretically be Bronze in 3s, Plat in 5s, and Silver in Solo, and the final outcome would be the same as yours.

Furthermore, there's more than one way to express skill in League, so saying someone is "at a silver level" when they've earned a Plat rank is strange. They might be Silver in a different queue/mode, but they're still Plat in 1v1. For instance, someone who's Bronze in team 5s isn't necessarily Bronze in 3s or solo. They might be bad at that particular aspect of League, but it doesn't mean that they're bad at every aspect of League. Even Riot acknowledges this, since every game mode has separate MMR.

If someone's earned a Plat rank, there's no reason they shouldn't get a Plat border as appropriate. Ranks (and corresponding borders) already vary from queue to queue. Adding a new ranked option wouldn't change that.

I remember being so excited for it, because it was going to have 1v1 and 2v2 modes. I don't remember why they decided not to go through with it, but it would be sweet if they still had the files and added it to the rotational queue.
