I mean I think it is a bit early, but that is more to do with the fact that (in my opinion) the preseason was vastly ineffective. Normally riot brings the class-wide updates and then make continuous tweaks to the changes throughout a 3 month or so preseason with many patches to help make sure things are balanced and in the way that riot wants them to be. This year they took a really hands off, "lets see how this shakes out" approach and just kind of let the changes happen. Which is okay but it comes to a point where they didnt really give the meta a chance to settle and the broken or hidden overpowered stuff havent even really come out yet (because the obvios in your face op stuff is still there ruling games). There are so many things that I feel need to be tweaked and I feel like bot lane is a complete mess because the meta is hypercarries when assassins are incredibly strong lol, and champions that can hold their own against assassins in the bot lane are so bad that if you play them you will lose lane so hard that you cant fight the assassins anyway (lucian, quinn, graves, ez, kalista). ON TOP OF THAT I wanted to see their 10 ban system they were talking about get tested this preseason, and the client beta to be polished and mostly finished during preseason, instead of testing not only a new client but potentially a WHOLE NEW drafting system during the ranked season. (at least I hope they didnt scrap the 10 ban system idea) I think the rush to get into the new season is driven by the fact that the lcs plays more games now and they want to get the lcs rolling this year as quickly as they can so they can make the extra revenue from that (I could be wrong I have no statistical backing for that statement so correct me if I am). As for if you get tired of ranked, dont play it. Just because the season has started doesnt mean you HAVE to play ranked. Play normals, or overwatch, or minecraft, or whatever you do in your non-ranked time. The only people that HAVE to play ranked right now are the people who want to, the people who feel they need to because they want to hold on to their ranking (challengers, masters, etc) and the people who are at risk of decaying. I didnt vote in your poll because I feel like it IS too early because of balance and change issues, but I also am pretty happy the season is here from a ranked playing standpoint.
